Mini Face Lift

The "mini" facelift is designed to eliminate jowling (fullness at the jaw line near the chin) and to a lesser extent soften the mid-face and tighten the neck area. The "mini" facelift typically refers to a procedure called the modified S lift.

Some physicians market the procedure as a "quick" or "lifestyle" lift with claims regarding anesthesia, procedure and recovery time.

The "mini" facelift can be performed under local anesthesia - but so can a traditional facelift.

The "mini" facelift may take as little as 90 minutes, but the procedure does not include neck contouring and may leave a visible scar behind the earlobe.

Recovery time for a "mini" facelift is similar to that of a traditional facelift.
