Sarasota Lip Enhancement

Patients concerned about loss of lip volume and/or inward rotation of the line that separates the white and red parts of the lip may benefit from lip enhancement procedures.

Important considerations include previous surgery and whether the primary goal is to restore volume or to allow more "show" of the red part of the lips. While lip augmentation is designed to restore volume to the lips, the procedure generally will also allow for more "show" of the red part of the lips. Lip advancement is designed to "show" or reveal more of the red part of the lips. This also reduces the vertical length of the lips.

Lip enhancement procedures are commonly performed at the time of temple-cheek-neck lift or other facial plastic surgery procedures. Tissue removed during tightening of the cheek area in a temple-cheek-neck lift may be used to restore volume to the lips. Other options include autologous fat transfer or insertion of various commercial implants.
