Laser Skin Resurfacing (Peel) is one of the leading cosmetic procedures in the United States. The process utilizes a laser to decrease the appearance of lines, scars and wrinkles as well as improve overall skin texture and tone (pigment).
Sciton's Contour™ skin resurfacing system utilizes two erbium-YAG lasers to enable a range of treatments from superficial Arctic™ / MicroLaserPeel™ to full-strength skin resurfacing (Laser Skin Peel). In addition, the system is useful for removing superficial skin lesions with no anesthesia and no scapel. A short pulse erbium-YAG laser is used to ablate (remove) the upper layers of skin while a long pulse erbium-YAG laser is used to heat the collagen in the deeper layers of skin. The system is extremely versatile with the ability to use the short or long pulse lasers individually or simultaneously to provide a treatment plan customized for each patient.
