Broadband Light (BBL™) technology utilizes the power of pulsed light to improve a variety of skin conditions. Using Sciton's Smart Filters, BBL™ of different wavelengths is used to target various skin conditions including pigment disturbances (e.g. dyschromia, hyperpigmentation, melasma), sun damage and vascular lesions (e.g. port wine stains, hemangiomas, rosacea, angiomas, telangiectasia).
BBL TM Photorejuvenation will also play an increasing role in the management of pre-cancerous skin conditions (Levulan Photodynamic Therapy), hair removal and other conditions. Such new treatments will be available at the Aesthetic Light & Laser Center as they become available. 3rd paragraph "chest, shoulders and extremities."
An integrated thermo-electric cooled sapphire plate keeps the treatment areas comfortable so that no anesthesia is needed. The most common treatment areas include the face, neck, hands, chest, shoulders and extremities - areas that are typically most exposed to the damaging effects of the sun.
