Dr. J. David Holcomb, M.D., Founder and Director of Holcomb Facial Plastic Surgery, PLLC in Sarasota, Florida is a leader in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Patients say that Dr. Holcomb is a very talented surgeon with a wonderful sense of aesthetic artistry and a compassionate bedside manner. Dr. Holcomb regularly performs cosmetic procedures such as rhinoplasty as well as comprehensive makeovers that may include brow lift, upper and lower eyelid lift, face and neck lift, laser skin resurfacing and other procedures.

Dr. Holcomb completed a fellowship in advanced cosmetic facial plastic surgery through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) following subspecialty training in plastic, reconstructive and other surgeries of the face, head and neck at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics' world renowned Department of Otolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery. He obtained his medical degree from the School of Medicine of the University of Texas Medical Branch.
He is a member of the medical staff of Doctors Hospital of Sarasota and of Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He currently serves on the Surgical Governance Committee and as Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He participated in revision of the AAFPRS curriculum for surgeons in-training and serves on the ABFPRS Resource Development Committee. He is a member of the Doctors Health Journal Medical Advisory Board, as well as a contributing author. Peer-reviewed publications include a study regarding advanced techniques for hairline preservation during brow lift and facelift surgery.
Dr. Holcomb worked with Dr. Jill Morris for the 2003 Sarasota Extreme Makeover. In addition to raising money for SPARCC, the event selected an Osprey woman for a life-changing extreme makeover that included cosmetic facial plastic surgery and .
Dr. Holcomb is married and has a daughter. When away from his practice, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as golfing, running and swimming.
