Ultherapy™
Ultherapy™ is an innovative new non-invasive treatment for facial rejuvenation. Ultherapy™ has proven particularly effective in treating low set brows, lines around the eyes, mild jowls, and laxity along the jawline and beneath the chin. The best candidates for treatment are looking to improve early signs of aging and are generally in their 40s and 50s. Ultherapy™ is most effective in patients with healthy skin that still retains some elasticity.
This 30-minute, non-invasive treatment requires no anesthesia. During the procedure, the ultrasound applicator is gradually passed over the skin where it delivers small amounts of energy into the deep layers of skin and soft tissue. The body responds by creating new collagen which, in turn, produces a tightening effect in the area.
There is no downtime or recovery associated with Ultherapy™ and patients are able to immediately return to their normal routine. Results are not immediate but happen gradually over time as the body generates new collagen. Results have been shown to last a minimum of one year and are more than likely permanent though the skin will continue to age.
