GentleWaves® treatments are for the skin what exercise is for the body. GentleWaves® is a breakthrough technology that uses patented LED (light emitting diode) light to gently influence collagen breakdown and production. During the no-downtime treatments, visible orange light is gently pulsed over the skin for a short period of time.
GentleWaves® treatments are very useful to enhance results from skin care programs and laser treatments, working in concert to reverse skin damage and improve skin health. In addition, the treatments can help reduce redness from laser treatments or excessive sun exposure.
The GentleWaves® Skin Fitness Program is about promoting skin that's better looking and healthier from within. GentleWaves® treatments repair and strengthen skin by building new layers of collagen vital to skin structure as we age. Much like an exercise regimen, the Skin Fitness Program also minimizes natural collagen breakdown and provides long-lasting results.
A series of 8 weekly treatments is recommended initially with periodic maintenance treatments as desired thereafter. While no specific aftercare is necessary following each GentleWaves® treatment, it is important to continue your preferred skin care program and carefully avoid further sun damage.
